Why do Texans think the Trans-texas corridor such a bad mistake for the state?

First off it will be a toll road. It will be built using tax-payer dollars but all the profit will go to a foreign company. It will allow trucks to cross from Mexico and these trucks will not be as closely inspected as trucks from companies is the US. It will take land from farms. It will divide some farms in half with no way for a farmer to get from one side to the other. Every person in all the states running up to Canada should be concerned with this road as the ultimate goal is to have one highway going all the way across the US from the southern Texas border to the Canadian border. If we can stop it here it will be a good thing.
