My ex has been hypnotized, should i give him another chance?

I was with my ex for 2 1/2 years. I lived with him for that time too. He was an *** while we were together bc he had lots of mom issues and didnt have much respect for woman. We ended up breaking up and i moved out. Since then he has become a very different person. The day after we broke up he started going to hypnotherapy and has done 7 sessions so far. Its been a 1 1/2 months since we broke up. We started talking again and i really feel that he has changed. I dont know much about hypnosis but is it possible that he has changed. He is ready now, for the relationship that i wanted all along. If I do decide to give him another chance will the old him come out and us be back to where we were before?
