I would simply suggest just go check out a m some weekend! There's also countless books you can read that give fantastic introductions to Catholicism and the basic teachings. The main thing you can do for now is to pray. Pray to God to lead you in whatever direction is right for you. He'll guide you there, whether it's Catholicism, the Orthodox Church, or wherever. Once (and if) you've made your decision to join the Church, there is now a program called RCIA, wich is available at many parishes which prepares you to receive the sacraments of baptism and confirmation.
