Help with my chemistry homework?

First balance the equation, that is KEY for ALL problems like this. Once its balanced, convert 500mg to grams (0.500g) then convert grams to moles of CaCO3. Once u do that, relate it to how many moles of CaCl2 in the BALANCED equation. I think adding a 2 infront of the CaCl2 will balance the equation. If im right, it would be 1 mol of CaCO3 produces 2 mol of CaCl2, then convert that to grams. The whole process can be set up like this: 500mg CaCO3(10^-3 g/1mg)(1 mol CaCO3/ X grams per mol CaCO3)(2 mol CaCl2/1 mol CaCO3)( x grams per mol CaCl2/ 1 mol CaCl2). Hope you follow all the conversions i did and see how they cancel!
